Comments on "Hell on Wheels" (rolling luggage)

To me this article seemed like the author's response to having his foot rolled over by someone else's luggage. I'm not saying the article wasn't enjoyable or funny, but it did seem to be a waste of time and paper. I mean why not write an argument about the sun being too bright for all the good it will do. I don't think the author was trying to make the world a roller-luggage free place, or inform us about the horrors of rolling luggage. Everything he used as support any eight year old who has had to take a trip could have told you. Rolling luggage is large and cumbersome, rolling luggage can roll over people’s feet, rolling luggage doesn't make sharp turns very well. And also I think that everyone by the time they are sixteen would have taken enough trips to know that rolling suitcases are more trouble than their worth and to just carry a duffle bag or back pack unless it's absolutely necessary to bring your entire wardrobe with you. So in the future, I hope to write an argument paper against writing useless arguments so that the author might see their name in print or reach their weekly quota. Either or writing witty, elitist observations should be shunned by the literary society.

I have to agree. I think it's worth taking something that is supposed to be funny (maybe it succeeded, maybe not) and actually identify the claims and reasons, but as far as a piece of writing goes, I sort of hate the style of this.

Truthfully, this article got on my nerves. Maybe it was the unrealistic view attempting to be humorous, but it just wasn't an article I'd be interested in reading. Sure it gave us a great thing to view an argument or whatever, but honestly, who cares if you have rolling luggage or not. I guess I'm looking too much into what the article is about as opposed to observing the article and its components from a non biased stand point, but I didn't like it.
